Rod’s Fruit Stand

This vertical feature profiles Rod, a local community member who built an honor-system fruit stand through years of independent work and collaboration with local artists and growers. Our four-person team was given a prompt about community, and had the time constraint of two days to find and create this story.

My main role in the group was lead producer and videographer. However, I also had the opportunity to take on partial roles as reporter and writer. overseeing story development, field reporting, and visual execution. I worked alongside an editor to shape a concise piece that expressed Rod’s character and our creativity.

This story earned Second Place nationally in the Student Television Network 2024 Challenge Competition, recognizing both its storytelling and execution.
